{"id":8750,"date":"2026-02-15T18:57:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:57:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:57:10","slug":"sloppy-turkey-spuds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/poultry\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/sloppy-turkey-spuds\/","title":{"rendered":"Sloppy Turkey Spuds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>4 (10 oz. each) potatoes<br \/>\n12 oz. ground turkey<br \/>\n1 medium onion; chopped<br \/>\n1 medium green bell pepper, chopped<br \/>\n1 C. sliced mushrooms<br \/>\n1 jar or can marinara sauce or other vegetarian spaghetti sauce (14 or 15 oz.)<br \/>\nsalt and pepper, to taste<br \/>\n1\/4 C. chopped parsley<br \/>\n1\/4 C. grated parmesan cheese<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pierce potatoes with tines of fork; microwave on high for 20 to 22 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender. Meanwhile, in large nonstick skillet over medium heat Saute turkey until no longer pink, for about 6 minutes. Add onion, bell pepper and mushrooms; Saute, stirring, for 3 minutes. Stir in marinara sauce; bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper; stir in parsley. Place potatoes on 4 plates; split and fluff.
