{"id":8268,"date":"2026-02-15T18:56:55","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:56:55","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:56:55","slug":"chicken-satay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/poultry\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/chicken-satay\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Satay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>40 wooden skewers<br \/>\n1-1\/2 lb. boneless chicken breasts<br \/>\n6 shallots<br \/>\n6 cloves garlic, peeled<br \/>\n1\/4 C. coconut milk<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. lemon juice<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. brown sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp. coriander leaves<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. whole cumin seeds<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. turmeric<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Soak skewers in cold water for 1 to 2 hours before grilling. Cut meat into 3\/4 inch pieces. Place in a medium sized bowl. If using variety of meat, place each in a separate bowl. In a food processor or blender whirl together shallots, garlic, coconut milk, lemon juice, sugar, coriander, salt, cumin and turmeric to form a smooth paste. Combine with meat and marinate, covered in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours. Thread onto skewers without crowding, about 4 pieces per skewer. Grill or broil until crisp and browned, but juicy, for about 3 to 6 minutes, turning to cook evenly.
