{"id":7923,"date":"2026-02-15T18:55:05","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:55:05","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:55:05","slug":"roast-pork-with-apple-topping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/pork\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/roast-pork-with-apple-topping\/","title":{"rendered":"Roast Pork With Apple Topping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 Tbsp. flour<br \/>\n1 3\/4 tsp. salt; divided<br \/>\n1 tsp. dry mustard<br \/>\n1 tsp. caraway seed<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. pepper<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. sage<br \/>\n1 pork loin roast; 4 to 5 pound<br \/>\n1 1\/2 C. applesauce<br \/>\n1\/2 C. packed brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. ground mace<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a small bowl, combine flour, 1 &#8211; 1\/2 tsp. salt, mustard, caraway, sugar, pepper  and sage; rub over roast. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Place on a greased baking  rack, fat side up, in a roasting pan. Bake, uncovered at 325 for 1 hour. Combine  applesauce, brown sugar, mace, and remaining salt. Mix well. Spread over roast. Roast 1  hour longer or until the internal temperature reaches 160 to 170.
