{"id":7738,"date":"2026-02-15T18:54:54","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:54:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:54:54","slug":"pork-casserole-with-cabbage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/pork\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/pork-casserole-with-cabbage\/","title":{"rendered":"Pork Casserole With Cabbage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 pound pork cut into 1\/2 inch cubes<br \/>\n2 ounces seasoned flour<br \/>\n1\/2 ounces caraway seeds<br \/>\n3 ounces lard<br \/>\n1 ounces paprika<br \/>\n6 ounces shredded cabbage \/ sauerkraut<br \/>\n2 ounces tomato puree<br \/>\n1 C. water<br \/>\n1 ounce vinegar<br \/>\n4 ounces sour cream<br \/>\n1 ounces onions<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Toss the meat cubes in seasoned flour and caraway seeds. Heat lard and Saute the meat  with a lid on pan. Shake from time to time and cook until brown for 10 minutes. Then  add ground paprika and sliced onions. Toss for a few minutes, add tomato puree and  white cabbage or sauerkraut, vinegar and cold water. Season with a little salt. Simmer  gently for 1 1\/2 hours until the meat is tender.
