{"id":7547,"date":"2026-02-15T18:54:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:54:52","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:54:52","slug":"dijon-mustard-pork-chops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/pork\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/dijon-mustard-pork-chops\/","title":{"rendered":"Dijon Mustard Pork Chops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>6 1 inch thick loin pork chops well trimmed<br \/>\n1\/4 C. unsalted butter<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. ground pepper<br \/>\n2 1\/2 C. gruyere cheese, finely grated<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. dijon mustard<br \/>\n1\/2 C. heavy cream, divided<br \/>\n1\/4 C. plus 2 Tbsp. calvados brandy or any apple flavored brandy<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Saute pork chops until browned in melted butter in an oven proof skillet over medium  heat. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45  minutes. Combine cheese, Dijon mustard and 4 Tbls. of heavy cream; spread  mixture evenly over pork chops. Broil 5-6 inches from heat, remove from oven  immediately when cheese is lightly browned. Remove pork chops from skillet to a  serving platter (keep warm), reserving all drippings in skillet. Add Calvados brandy to  dripping in skillet; cook over fairly high heat, deglazing skillet by scraping particles that  cling to the bottom. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add remaining heavy cream and  continue cooking, while stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
