{"id":7352,"date":"2026-02-15T18:53:26","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:53:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:53:26","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:53:26","slug":"sweet-and-sour-burgers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/outdoor\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/sweet-and-sour-burgers\/","title":{"rendered":"Sweet  And  Sour  Burgers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 (8 oz.) can shredded sauerkraut, drained<br \/>\n1\/4 C. water<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. brown sugar<br \/>\n1 env. dried onion mix<br \/>\n1 1\/2 lb. ground beef<br \/>\n1\/2 C. cranberry sauce (whole)<br \/>\n1\/4 C. chili sauce<br \/>\n1 egg, slightly beaten<br \/>\n1\/4 C. water<br \/>\n6 onion rolls, lightly toasted<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Combine sauerkraut and cranberries, chili and water in saucepan.  Bring to a boil and reduce heat.  Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Combine egg, soup mix and water.  Let stand 5 minutes.  Add ground beef, mixing well.  Shape into 6 patties.  Grill over medium coals 425 degrees for 5 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness.  Place hamburger patties on toasted onion rolls.  Serve with sauce.
