{"id":18,"date":"2026-02-22T23:28:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T23:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/angel-hair-with-balsamic-tomatoes"},"modified":"2026-02-22T23:28:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T23:28:07","slug":"angel-hair-with-balsamic-tomatoes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/noodle\/blog\/2026\/02\/22\/angel-hair-with-balsamic-tomatoes\/","title":{"rendered":"Angel Hair With Balsamic Tomatoes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon minced garlic<br \/>\n1 teaspoon olive oil<br \/>\n5 to 6 Roma tomatoes, chopped, (28 ounce. can plum tomatoes)<br \/>\n3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar<br \/>\nsalt &amp; pepper to taste<br \/>\n1\/4 Cup chopped fresh basil<br \/>\n1\/2 Pound angel hair pasta, (uncooked)<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Saute the garlic in olive oil until lightly browned. Do this in a skilletlarge enough to hold the tomatoes later. Leave garlic in skillet.<br \/>\nPlace tomatoes, salt &amp; pepper, basil and balsamic vinegar in a non reactivebowl and set aside for 10 minutes, stirring occassionally.<br \/>\nBoil water for pasta.Just before you put the pasta in the water, drain tomatoes and reserve thejuice that runs off. (I usually set my colander on a dinner plate). Put theangel hair pasta in the water to cook for the recommended amount of time.<br \/>\nHeat your garlic skillet and toss drained tomatoes briefly JUST to heat.They should retain their shape.
