{"id":6286,"date":"2026-02-15T18:50:02","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:50:02","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:50:02","slug":"mexican-chimichangas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/hamburger\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/mexican-chimichangas\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexican Chimichangas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>6 (12&#8243;) flour tortillas<br \/>\n1 lb. ground beef<br \/>\n1 onion, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. cumin<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. chopped green chilies<br \/>\n1\/2 Tbsp. chili powder<br \/>\n1 C. refried beans<br \/>\n1 C. grated Cheddar cheese<br \/>\nOil for frying<br \/>\nSour Cream for garnish<br \/>\nGuacamole for garnish<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Fry beef, drain, and add other ingredients. Wrap tortillas in foil, heat in 325\u00c2\u00ba oven for 10 minutes. Spoon 3\/4 C. meat mixture in each, near one edge. Fold edge nearest the filling up and over filling, just until mixture is covered. Fold in the 2 sides envelope fashion, then roll up. Fasten with toothpicks.    In a heavy skillet, fry tortillas in 1\/2 C. oil until golden brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm in 200\u00c2\u00ba oven as you fry the rest.
