{"id":5794,"date":"2026-02-15T18:47:35","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:47:35","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:35","slug":"spiced-apples","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/diabetic\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/spiced-apples\/","title":{"rendered":"Spiced Apples"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1-1\/2 C. concentrated apple juice<br \/>\n2\/3 C. distilled vinegar<br \/>\n1 tsp. whole cloves<br \/>\n1 cinnamon stick broken into 4 pieces<br \/>\n1\/3 tsp. red food coloring (optional)<br \/>\n5 medium apples, sweet, yellow delicious, peeled, cut into 1\/8-inch pieces<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Combine all ingredients, except apples, in saucepan; bring to a boil. Drop apples into hot  solution. Simmer until slightly soft, about 10 minutes at most. Pack into hot, clean jars,  leaving 3\/4 inch at top. Cap with hot lids.
