{"id":5454,"date":"2026-02-15T18:47:20","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:47:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:20","slug":"pasta-with-asparagus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/diabetic\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/pasta-with-asparagus\/","title":{"rendered":"Pasta With Asparagus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>5 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n1 tsp. dried red pepper flakes<br \/>\n2 to 3 dashes hot pepper sauce<br \/>\n1\/4 C. olive oil<br \/>\n1 tsp. butter or margarine<br \/>\n1 pound fresh asparagus, cut to 1-1\/2 inch pieces<br \/>\nsalt, to taste<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. pepper<br \/>\n1\/4 C. shredded parmesan cheese<br \/>\n1\/2 pound mostaccioli, cooked drained, or 1\/2 pound elbow macaroni, cooked, drained<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a skillet cook garlic, red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce in oil and butter for 2 to 3  minutes. Add asparagus, salt and pepper. Saute until asparagus is crisp and tender, about  8 to 10 minutes. Add parmesan cheese; mix well. Pour over hot pasta; toss to coat.
