{"id":5348,"date":"2026-02-15T18:47:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:47:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:19","slug":"mustard-pork-chop-in-foil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/diabetic\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/mustard-pork-chop-in-foil\/","title":{"rendered":"Mustard Pork Chop In Foil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1\/4 tsp. vegetable or olive oil<br \/>\n1 thick slice onion<br \/>\n5 oz. boneless pork chop<br \/>\n1 tsp. prepared mustard<br \/>\nsalt and pepper, to taste<br \/>\nsprig of rosemary, or 1\/4 tsp. dried rosemary (optional)<br \/>\npotatoes (optional)<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Tear heavy duty foil to make a 12-inch square; smear foil  with oil. Place onion slice on half of foil. Trim fat from chop. Spread both sides with  mustard. Place on onion, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with rosemary, if desired.  Close foil to form triangle. Roll edges and crimp firmly to seal, turning sealed edges  upward. Place in baking pan to retain juices. Bake 20 to 30 minutes, depending on  thickness of chop, or until chop is no longer pink in center. Transfer packet to dinner  plate. Open and turn chop with onion and juices onto plate.
