{"id":5087,"date":"2026-02-15T18:47:15","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:47:15","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:47:15","slug":"hot-buttered-cider-with-ginger-and-cinnamon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/diabetic\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/hot-buttered-cider-with-ginger-and-cinnamon\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot Buttered Cider With Ginger And Cinnamon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>4 C. water<br \/>\n1 C. granulated sugar<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. whole cloves<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. whole allspice<br \/>\n2 sticks cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/4 C. sliced candied or crystallized ginger<br \/>\n6 C. apple cider<br \/>\n2 C. orange juice<br \/>\n1\/2 C. lemon juice (1 lemon)<br \/>\n1 stick butter, cut into thin slices<br \/>\n16 cinnamon sticks, for serving<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Mix the water and sugar in a large non-aluminum saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the cloves, allspice, cinnamon and ginger. Let the mixture stand for 1 hour, or longer. Strain into a bowl and return to the saucepan. Stir in the apple cider, orange juice, and lemon juice.
