{"id":3768,"date":"2026-02-15T18:44:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:44:42","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:42","slug":"pizza-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/crockpot\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/pizza-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Pizza Beans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 pound dried pinto beans<br \/>\n4 medium tomatoes peeled and diced<br \/>\n1 onion chopped<br \/>\n1 garlic clove crushed<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\nFreshly ground black pepper to taste<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. rosemary<br \/>\n1\/4 C. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese<br \/>\n6 C. water<br \/>\n1\/4 C. chopped green pepper<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. oregano<br \/>\n1 C. shredded Mozzarella cheese<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Soak beans in water overnight. Drain beans, cover with fresh water and simmer for 1 1\/2 to 2 hours, until tender. In crock pot, combine beans with tomatoes, onion, garlic, green pepper, salt and pepper, rosemary and oregano. Add 2 C. liquid from beans. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Turn control to high, add Mozzarella and Romano cheeses. Cook uncovered on high for 15 to 20 minutes.
