{"id":3554,"date":"2026-02-15T18:44:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:44:40","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:40","slug":"ham-in-cider","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/crockpot\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/ham-in-cider\/","title":{"rendered":"Ham In Cider"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 ready to serve ham about 5 pounds<br \/>\nsmall enough to fit into your crock pot<br \/>\n4 C. apple juice or sweet cider to cover<br \/>\nGlaze:<br \/>\n2 tsp. dry mustard<br \/>\n1 C. brown sugar firmly packed<br \/>\n1 tsp. ground cloves<br \/>\n2 C. golden seedless raisins<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Place the ham with enough cider or apple juice to cover in a crock pot and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. Before serving, remove ham and set aside. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Make a paste of the mustard, cloves and a scant Tbls. of the hot cider. If there is one, remove the outer skin from the ham and smear the ham with the paste. Place in a baking pan. Pour in 1 C. of hot cider and the raisins. Bake in the preheated oven 1\/2 hour or just until the paste has turned to a glaze.
