{"id":3012,"date":"2026-02-15T18:44:26","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:44:26","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:44:26","slug":"baked-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/crockpot\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/baked-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Baked Beans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>3 pounds navy beans (6 C.)<br \/>\n4 quarts water<br \/>\n1 pound salt pork, 1 inch cubes<br \/>\n6 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 C. onion, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 C. molasses<br \/>\n1 1\/2 C. catsup<br \/>\n1\/2 C. brown sugar<br \/>\n4 tsp. dry mustard<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Wash and pick over beans. Put in removable liner. Add water, salt pork, salt and onion. Mix well so beans cover pork. Place liner in base. Cover and cook on low for 14-16 hours or until beans are tender. Cooking time can be reduced if beans are soaked overnight then cooked on low 10-12 hours. When beans are tender, drain bean liquid reserving 4 C.. Combine reserved liquid, molasses, catsup, brown sugar and mustard. Add to beans in liner, stir well. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours longer.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
