Chicken Ali Baba
Ingredients
3 pounds chicken pieces to 4 pounds
6 Tbsp. olive oil
1 onion diced
3 celery stalks sliced
2 cans chicken broth
1/2 tsp. paprika
Salt to taste
Freshly ground white pepper to taste
1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 C. walnuts finely ground
1 C. soft bread crumbs
Cooking Instructions
In a fry pan, brown chicken in the oil until golden brown, then place in crock pot. Add onion, celery, chicken broth and spices. Set cooker to low and cook 4 to 6 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove 3 C. of broth from the cooker and mix with the walnuts and bread crumbs. Pour this mixture over the chicken. Turn cooker to high, and cook stirring, until sauce has thickened.
