{"id":2779,"date":"2026-02-15T18:42:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:42:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:42:12","slug":"sugarless-applesauce-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/cake\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/sugarless-applesauce-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Sugarless Applesauce Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 C. raisins<br \/>\n1 C. dried fruit diced<br \/>\n2 C. water<br \/>\n2 C. flour<br \/>\n1 tsp. baking soda<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. nutmeg<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp. cinnamon<br \/>\n2 eggs beaten, or equivalent egg substitute<br \/>\n1 C. unsweetened applesauce<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. liquid sweetener<br \/>\n3\/4 C. vegetable oil<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla extract<br \/>\n1\/2 C. chopped nuts<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Combine raisins, fruit and water in a saucepan; cook, uncovered, until water is  evaporated and fruit is soft. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl,  combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. In another bowl, combine eggs,  applesauce, sweetener, oil and vanilla. Add nuts and reserved fruit mixture. Stir into the  dry ingredients and blend thoroughly. Pour into a greased 10 inch fluted tube pan  (Bundt).
