{"id":2531,"date":"2026-02-15T18:41:59","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:41:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:41:59","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:41:59","slug":"pineapple-walnut-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/cake\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/pineapple-walnut-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Pineapple Walnut Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Cake<br \/>\n2 C. sugar<br \/>\n2 C. flour<br \/>\n2 tsp. baking soda<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n1 C. pecans or walnuts<br \/>\n1 can undrained crushed pineapple (20 ounce can)<br \/>\nTopping:<br \/>\n1 stick oleo or butter (we use butter)<br \/>\n1 C. sugar<br \/>\n3\/4 C. evaporated milk<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Mix all above ingredients in mixing bowl until blended. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 pan at  350 for 30 minutes. The cake will take on a dark brown appearance. Let cake cool before  topping with topping recipe.  Topping: Cook above topping ingredients on stovetop for approximately 10 minutes on medium  heat. Be mindful, as this mixture can boil over and make a regrettable mess.
