Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

1 1\/2 C. sugar
\n1\/2 tsp. cream of tartar
\n1\/2 C. water
\n3 egg white
\n1\/2 tsp. vanilla<\/p>\n

Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear. Cook mixture without stirring until candy thermometer registers 240 degrees. Beat whites of 3 eggs (at room temperature) until soft peak forms; continue to beat while slowly adding syrup mixture. Add vanilla; continue beating until stiff peaks form and frosting is thick enough to spread.
