Mix flour, baking powder, salt,  nutmeg, and 3\/4 C. sugar. Beat in milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Spread over  berries. Mix 1 C. sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over  all.
