Combine flour, cinnamon, soda, nutmeg, salt,  and cloves; stir in walnuts and raisins. Combine sugar, oil, and eggs; beat well, and blend  into flour mixture. Stir in apples. Spoon batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at  375 degrees for 1 hour. Remove and cool on wire rack.
