{"id":1171,"date":"2026-02-15T18:30:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recipe4thecook.com\/sourdough-chevre-bread\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T18:30:52","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T18:30:52","slug":"sourdough-chevre-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes4thecook.com\/breadmachine\/blog\/2026\/02\/15\/sourdough-chevre-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Sourdough Chevre Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Ingredients<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 pound loaf<br \/>\n3\/4 C. milk; heated to a simmer then cooled to about 100 degrees<br \/>\n1 tsp. yeast<br \/>\n3\/4 C. rye flour<br \/>\nplace in bread maker<br \/>\n1 large egg<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. honey<br \/>\n1\/2 C. water<br \/>\n5 ounces goat cheese(with or without herbs) crumbled<br \/>\n2 1\/4 C. white flour<br \/>\n3\/4 C. rye flour<br \/>\n4 Tbsp. goat&#8217;s milk; powdered<br \/>\n4 tsp. bread boost (optional for higher loaf)<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp. yeast<br \/>\n1 1\/2 C. walnuts; yeast (optional)<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><b><font face=\"comic sans ms\" size=\"5\">Cooking Instructions<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Place all ingredients in the pan. Program for white bread and press start. Sprinkle the yeast on  top of the warm milk, then stir until it dissolves completely. Stir in the rye flour. Cover with  plastic wrap and store at room temperature (at least 70 degrees) for three days, stirring once a  day.
