Cracked Wheat Bread With Fruit Bits
Ingredients
1 pound loaf
3/4 C. water, warm
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, cut up
1 1/2 C. bread flour
1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1/4 C. cracked wheat
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. powdered dry milk
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. bread machine yeast
1/3 C. raisins
1/3 C. dried fruit bits
Cooking Instructions
Measure carefully, adding ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer – except fruits. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use light or medium crust color. Add raisins and dried fruit bits at the raisin/nut cycle or 5 minutes before last kneading cycle ends. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
