Sweet And Sour Cabbage
Ingredients
4 bacon slices diced
1/4 C. brown sugar packed
2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/4 C. water
1/4 C. vinegar
1 medium red cabbage head shredded about 8 C.
1 small onion finely chopped
Cooking Instructions
In a skillet cook bacon until crisp. Reserve drippings. Combine 1 Tbls. drippings in a crock pot with remaining ingredients, except cooked bacon. Cover and cook on low 6 1/2 to 7 hours or until cabbage is tender. Spoon into serving bowl, sprinkle with reserved bacon.
