Steak Hunters Choice
Ingredients
1 (10-16 oz. deer steak, 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick
Meat marinade (commercial or homemade)
Salt, pepper
1 each onion slice, orange slice, apple slice, lemon slice, green
pepper slice
Lemon pepper, garlic powder or any seasoning of your choice
1 sheet heavy aluminum foil
Cooking Instructions
Marinade meat 6-8 hours in flat pan. Drain excess marinade from heat (do not wash off). Place steak flat on aluminum foil; season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon peppers, etC. Place slices of onion, orange, apple, lemon, green peppers on top of steak. Fold foil over ends of steak and wrap tightly so juices will not leak out while cooking. Place on broiler pan in oven at 300 degrees for 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours, depending on size and thickness of steak. Cut one end of foil and drain juices from steak. Serve with baked potato, green salad and rolls.
