Cranberry Bundt Cake
Ingredients
1 C. sugar
3/4 C. shortening
2 eggs
2 C. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. orange flavoring
1 C. whole cranberries
1 C. dates, chopped
1 C. nuts, chopped
Glaze:
1 C. sugar
1 C. orange juice
1/4 tsp. orange flavoring;
Cooking Instructions
Thoroughly cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk. Beat until smooth fluffy. Add remaining ingredients Spoon into well-greased bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Let stand in pan 15 minutes before turning out on plate. Glaze: Combine and bring to boil and pour over cake while warm. Let set several hours before serving.
