Award Winning Barbequed Baby Back Ribs
Ingredients
dry rub
6 Tbsp. salt
4 tsp. paprika
6 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
4 C. ketchup
2 tsp. onion powder
4 C. white vinegar
2 tsp. ground black pepper
4 C. water
1 tsp. cayenne
1 large yellow onion; diced
1/2 C. sorghum molasses
6 Tbsp. black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Dry rub:.. Mix in jar, cover and shake well to mix. Sprinkle rub liberally over and into the surface. Rib Smoking: Prepare smoker for long, slow cooking using hickory, mesquite is also very good. Some people prefer to do back ribs using some of the wood of the fruit trees, apple, pear, etc. Barbeque Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer. Allow to cool for at least one hour to allow the flavors to blend.
